Remington Knife That I have not seen before

Hi : Anyone seen this knife before. no pattern # I don`t think I ever seen this one. Thanks for your time.

Closed length? Looks like maybe R23CH which is 3-3/8 inches. They came with or without a chain (which is the “CH” designator in the old catalogs). With chain is an R23CH which was drilled for the chain attachment,. The R23 is the same knife but not drilled. The old C30 catalog cuts do not have a shield.

It may be an 1183 but that lanyard hole isn't original.

The R1183 didn't have a lanyard hole

If the lanyard hole was not original would there not be a a pin above where it is?

Sure is interesting. Has no pattern number. Might have been a lunch box knife for him self? Anyhow Thanks guys!
