All About Pocket Knives

Possible oddball here, from what I have learned Case XX over Stainless is from 1950-1964, but I have this one here that I think pattern is 79SC, yet this one does not have a pattern on the reverse of the tang. is It safe to assume it is pre 1949? Making the actual rang from 1940-1964?

It is an M279 Scis SS. It may be pre 1949 but on that pattern that does not make much difference in value.
