I inherited a Brass Remington R219.
It is brass and I can tell from the mark it is probably from the30’s but I can’t find another R219 with only one blade. All have two.
This one was intentionally made with one blade.
I am hoping someone can tell me why and value?
Thank you in advance.
Jon

The way the pivot pin and "bolster" area is all beat up, I would say the pen blade has been removed.

I appreciate the comments and I would agree but I see no bending in the brass internally where another blade would go.
Please check out that pic and let me know your thoughts.
They look straight to me and I don’t see room for one.
Not trying to argue, I am a novice with a small collection...

I'm not sure what you mean by " no bending of the brass internally".
It looks like someone removed the pen blade and backspring, then reassembled.
Hopefully Roger will comment, he's much more knowledgeable than me.

I would agree that the pen blade and its spring have been removed. The pivot pin is not original to the knife.

Totally agree.
