I got this knife in a 60 knife collection I purchased and it's the only one I can't find anything on. Any help on validity and value would be appreciated. Also handle material
Thank you

Closed length would help identify it. Looks like it could be a 4 1/4” 99 pattern Jack. It should have a shield on it. Handles look like stag and may be replacements.

It's far smaller than that. It's only 3.25 inches. I've seen a few without shields but usually no bottom bolster

Could it be a Coffin 5224 1/2 missing the shield?

The 5224-1/2 is 3 inches. The 5235-1/2 is 3-3/8 inches. Please measure the knife again very carefully. Case made a number of “torpedo jack” patterns during the Tested era, and they all look pretty much alike except for the size. Some have only 1/8 inch difference in size so exact measurements is critical. BTW those having an end (cap) bolster are more common.

A picture from top down showing the handle cover profile might help determine whether the handles are original to the knife. Like Wayne said, I’m suspicious it has been rehandled. The yellow celluloid handles were very common but that handle material shrunk and cracked badly and sometimes disintegrated with age, so many have been rehandled.
