All About Pocket Knives

I’ve got a Gerber 3.00 serrated blade, my son carried in his “ready bag” back when he was in the Civil Air Patrol. Just trying to find out about when these were made. I know they are discontinued now. Seems to be a decent made knife, was just wondering about the age.
