All About Pocket Knives

Here is an odd little knife by G. Ibberson. It is made in very early "Firth Stainless".
It is 3 3/4" over all and the little body that contains the small pen blade is 2 inches.
The long blade has no sharp edges even though it tapers to an edge opposite the length of nail file.
I assume it is a manicure knife but I don't really know. Just had to have it.

very nice. Is the match striker pull looking slot a fingernail file?

Staple puller?

My best guess is the slot is old-type nail-file and the blade is for cuticle pushing, pill-counting and likely letter-opening as well (to keep the pen blade sharp). I agree that the "point" may well be a staple-puller. I haven't seen that blade before. Cool!

The early Schrade knives had that slot-type nail-file.
