Praise report

I found out this week that my 89-year-old neighbor had finally surrendered to Christ and was saved! He has always been a good and kindly man, and an excellent neighbor, but he finally realized that those things were not enough.
There were so many friends and family who came to his baptism today that the church attendance was nearly double the normal number!
He has been unable to stand unaided for a few years, so a group of men helped him from his wheelchair and strapped him into an emergency back-board (on loan from our local rescue squad), then the group of men carried him into the water and assisted the pastor in baptizing him.
Baptism is a funeral: it signifies our former life being buried with Christ. In this case, he even had Pall Bearers!
And being raised from the water signifies our Resurrection to new life along with Jesus. It is my hope that every one reading this has either accepted Salvation in Jesus, or that you soon will.
And I hope that all if you rejoice along with me, along with all of Heaven, that our Shepherd will still leave the flock to seek out the one who is lost!
