Would anyone be able to post some photographs of some of the more difficult German Eye patterns to locate, or your two or three favorite Eyes? I am only interested in seeing three eye or earlier knives please.

Sorry for being so long between posts, life got in the way.

These are all very large; the biggest bone stockman is a full 5 1/2 inches closed. The others approach 5 inches closed.

What is the significance of "pre 1981" ?
Calvin how do you know that your jumbo sized Eye Brand folders were made before 1981 ?
I have always found it difficult to give specific dates for the Eye Brand knives.

I am not sure that they are pre-1981 but they are certainly on older vintage than ones with the different shield, and often, less detailed etches and stamps. There are at least two members here that know more about them than I do.

Pre 1981 would represent most of the Three Eye variations and the most valuable and collectible types of German Eyes. That’s my personal interest, and why I chose that cutoff for my study.

Thanks for the photographs!

Toungueriver, is the single blade photo double etched? It looks like an etch over an etch. Can you send a picture of the entire knife and the pile side tang stamp?

The pile side stamp is shown. It is RUSTLESS. There is no double etch; What you see is an artifact from a flatbed scanner which horribly renders any metal that has any shininess.

What’s the closed length? Love the fan brand etch. I only have a couple. There sure hard to come by.
