All About Pocket Knives

Any idea who made this camping knife?? Rostfrei on the back of the main blade and the circle around something on the other? Maker? Value? Gnarly stag handle. Great snap. Well made. Just don't know anything about it.

Looks typically German (rostfrei = stainless) Don't know the mark. Nice piece. J.O'.

Nice knife. I paged through Carter's guide to German Knife Makers and did not see that mark.

If you post a picture with all blades open, both sides, it might help with guessing when it was made.
There were a great many stag handled 6 blade Utility knives made in Germany beginning in early 1900's (? not sure of date). Yours is in excellent condition, better than most. Still value is not high as there are not that many collectors of vintage German knives in North America.
On ebay it would likely sell for $50-$75.

I've seen that mark before, most likely here on AAPK and probably in a query similar to yours.

Although the mark is not complete, I think it is a stylized PL.

Goins, page 162 shows the mark belongs to Pius Lang, of Germany, 1852 to present, i.e. Goins' publication date of 1998.
