All About Pocket Knives

Hey guys I have a opportunity to purchase Buck 110 switchblade. It has a knife club name on it and I forgot the club name. The gentleman is asking $150.00 and I have never seen one,even on E-Bay. Is this a good price. The button is in the side of the wood handle. Thanks Dennis

$150 is about top dollar or more. The reason you haven't seen any on ebay is becuase they don't allow you to sell them on there. you can type in a search on google or yahoo for Buck 110 automatic and see what they are selling for.

muskratman you might not see the buck switchblade on the bay, but everyday there are dozens of schrade/colonial push buttons on the bay that are never caught, why is this

It seems to be about the description, and maybe the blade length to some extent. Push/Press button locking blade seems to sneak through...unless reported. Automatic...gone in 60 seconds. No mention of LOCK...gone as well.

Here is a cut and paste of the Ebay rules relating to the subject at hand. This must have changed recently as Ebay used to allow certain switchblades based on a blade length below 2 inches or 2 cm, or something such. This new rule seems to exclude all. I am not sure how the ones that get by actually make it.
Switchblade Knives: The interstate sale of switchblade knives is prohibited by federal law; therefore switchblade knives may not be listed on eBay. Federal law defines switchblade knives as "any knife having a blade which opens automatically (1) by and pressure applied to a button or other device in the handle of the knife, or (2) by operation of inertia, gravity, or both." Butterfly knives are also prohibited.

Disguised Knives: Knives disguised to look like a harmless item are not permitted on eBay. These items include but are not limited to belt buckle knives, lipstick case knives, air gauge knives, and writing pen knives.

Push Knives: Push knives are not permitted on eBay. These items are often referred to as push daggers, punch daggers, punch knives, push dirks or T-handled knives.

i was told they act on complaints from ebay members. with a gazillion ads, they don't have enough people to look at every ad.

I saw one for the first time a couple weeks ago...a friend of mine's uncle converts them...he's only asking $90 for them.
The one I saw and was holding and working was pretty new looking too. I hesitate to use the word "mint" because my mint may not be someone else's.

In Oregon it is legal to manufacture, sell, possess & carry a switchblade.
Come to Oregon in April to the OKCA Show in Eugene and you can buy some there.
