I thought I would dig out a 2008 seahorse I had stashed away and sell it. I got it out and coonfingered it thoroughly and "No way I am going to sell this YET!" My notes when I bought it: Raindrop Damascus genuine stag handle Seahorse whittler. Devin Thomas' pattern-welded 1075/nickel steel blade. βThe raindrop that we have provided for Case the last 3 years is a carbon steel. It is 1075/nickel mix. 1075 is a spring steel. The nickel content is only to add color to the blade and is about 5% of the total weight. Case has decided to use this because it is easy to blank and the cost is reasonable. -Rob Thomas.β

Cal, Iβm not a fan of the Seahorse whittler pattern, but I could learn to like that one! In fact I already have. I can see why you changed your mind.

I almost broke my jaw on the floor when I saw that knife. Definitely a keeper!

I often use the word gorgeous to describe a knife but I'm not sure I know a word to describe that one.

Cal, my daughter gave me one of those for Christmas 2011. I wouldn't let it go for all the tea in China. It was and is one of the top ten shining stars of my accumulation. (probably more like top 5)

They are pretty and just good knives; I copied some images of someone else's knife because the images were so nice:

Normally not a warncliff blade kind of guy but for this one I would cave.
