I found what I would call a boot knife and sheath...This knife is an older fancy knife that appears to be from the Victorian or the Edwardian era
The knife is very well made and has a fancy sheath....the total length of knife is 9 inches...trim on sheath and knife could be silver
but I see no marks...the tapered blade has a razor like quality...there is a partial stamp on the knife.... Pil G-Stahl
I didn't know what kind of knife until I got the Goins Encyclopedia.... pg.216 shows the rest of the name
I would like to know what this knife may have used for?
The book also says the angle is stamped on the back but none is there!!
I displayed a book knife with an angle earlier appears to be the same company ::tu::

The pattern is known as a,"knicker" knife. Not sure exactly why it is called that;possibly because it could be concealed in one's undergarments or as they are called in England:"knickers".I have a few by different makers but all are German made.
