All About Pocket Knives

Here’s a Couple that I picked up cruising the backroads . The Gunstock and the Jack have arched stamp. The21459 is a EDC at times. The Gunstock is Wore but usable ,although May retire that one. Got less than 50 bucks in the pair ,and very happy with that . Both have half stops, will bite and tight. Just tough,solid,well built old Catts.

Thanks Fellas, it’s been an interesting year of Collecting. And many Thanks to many of you here . When came on board last year,and since,that one should follow there True interests in there hobby . It feels good to have a focus,meet and talk old knives with like minded, especially here. Cruise the back Roads and Small towns ,or when you walk into a big knife show, and nothing else matters.

They are a great model and built well, can see why it could be a weakness.
That Catt you have is good piece,worth new handles if you ever decide. Thanks for posting it

Thanks. That’s what I’ve been doing. I’ve had it a while. In spite of the cracks I think the “waterfall” celluloid is beautiful, I’ve not found anything in the current Kirinite and similar materials to rival its translucent “depth”. If/when I find something that rivals it’s appearance I’ll probably do a re-handle (or if it starts going off I may have to do something sooner). Meanwhile I just enjoy it despite it’s flaws - after all, it’s a gunstock and a whittler!
