What is the small blade called on this Laguiole

This knife looks to me to be a smoking pipe knife, where the rounded blade is used for scraping the bowl and the thin blade is for opening the air hole, but as usual I am usually wrong. I have not seen a similar Laguiole before this one. The majority of the ones I see are fakes. Any and all thoughts welcome. Thanks for looking

I believe you are correct on both counts here. Pipe smoker's knife/tool.

Thank you Gunsil, I cannot believe I actually guessed correctly, hard for me to imagine that concept. Having moved quite a few pipe tools over the years, that was my only thought. I will pursue some of my pipe customers of their interest in it.

When I first saw the end of the blade, I thought it had been worn down, but when I closed it, I realized that the curve was intentional, by the way it fit in to its slot, there was no room for a point. I just found this - Laguiole Calumet Pipe Tool Briar, selling currently for $214.00, that alone will pay the shipping for the package it came in. ::ds::
Thank you all.

There have been quite a few fake Laguiole knives posted on ebay in the last few years. Some are hard to say if fake or genuine Laguiole.
Note: i am not referring to OP knife.

Thank you for the heads up. I am aware of the number of fake Laguiole knives around, including sellers who even state that their knife was make in China, but they will engrave it for the buyer. Get real!!!!! If this one is, it has been done very well. I have only had 2 others, that were table knives, and were originals, not fakes. Hopefully this is real.
