Leinenkugel's has gotten together with Hofbrau for a collaboration lager using German malts and American hops. Two storied names in brewing makes for a tasty product.
That sounds delicious! I’ll have to keep an eye out for it at the local stores.

Jeff, it is a seasonal, available Sept-Oct, should be in your stores now. It was nice to see this serious offering from them, hope you like it!
Are you working on any new recipes?
My beer cellar was empty earlier this year so I brewed some American Pale Ale, some Blonde Ale, some Irish Red, a few kegs of American Wheat and a keg of Oatmeal Stout (for the winter months). Oh and a keg of Rye/Wheat beer.
The recipes are mostly ones that I’ve done before except that I changed the yeast used this year.
So far the results have been very good and the weather here has been perfect for beer drinking (although we could do with a bit less humidity)!

Very seldom drink beer anymore but got a wild hair a week or two ago and picked up a box of an old favorite, Keystone Light (15 to a box these days. My how times have changed.) It will be taking up room in the fridge for a while. It don't trip my trigger.
Life’s too short to drink light beer.

Speaking of Samuel Adams...I wonder if any of you beer connoisseurs have ever tried their "Utopia" brews? At 28% ABV it's not for the faint of heart (or liver)...in fact, it's actually ILLEGAL in 15 states .......and at $240/bottle , it's not for those with light wallets, either (however, I heard that if you snort it through your nose with a straw, it will prevent and/or cure COVID-19 even better than Ivermectin or bleach!!! )
Better get your orders in for the Oct. 11 release (which could very well prove to be more of a lolly scramble than a new GEC release )

I'd like to, but at that price, I won't. It's twice the ABV as the strongest beer I've ever had, which was served to me in a glass not bigger than about eight ounces.

I did some sampling at Old Ox in Middleburg, VA yesterday. They had an Octoberfest and a pumpkin that were delicious. Their Belgian Triple was delicious too, and on the high test side of the ABV.

First Oktoberfest since 2019, Frederick, MD fairgrounds. Started with a Spaten Oktoberfest, followed by a Brewer's Alley (Frederick) Kölsh and a Hof Brau Radler. Had my GEC Beer & Sausage folder on hand for schnitzel and odd cutting jobs. Perfectly sharp and ready for even the beard grooming task.

Good post, John! You got the knife lovers covered with that dandy knife and you certainly have some good looking food and drink. It has been a while since I have had any rotkohl, and schnitzel is good anytime. I can't say that I am a Radler fan, but I do like Kolsh style and I have had the Spaten Oktoberfest.
Thanks, Ike. It was pushing 80° today so the Radler was actually refreshing. Seems like more of a warm weather brew. The food was excellent, got some cinnamon Hazelnuts and Pecans for the road.

Thanks, gentlemen. Döner Bistro Oktoberfest in 2 weekends in Leesburg, VA. It would be cool to see other AAPK members there, if you happen to be in the neighborhood.
