All About Pocket Knives

can anyone pont me in the right direction as far as researching the knife with patent in below topic?, is it worth anything, should i get it cleaned up?, just don't know what to do, any help would be appreciated. thanks

the tri-fold knife is valuable. i would not do anything to it except stop the active rust(oooo steel wool/oil/gently) and clean the handles with a toothbrush(not your wife's) it's great old ka-bar.
