Great idea, but You're going to get tired of seeing my posts, I just took 6 or 8 tree pictures this morning, same as nearly every day.

About Bonsai trees. Wikipedia says...:

"Bonsai can be created from nearly any perennial woody-stemmed tree or shrub species[5] that produces true branches and can be cultivated to remain small through pot confinement with crown and root pruning."

I'm looking for an "unkillable" type of tree for use as a Bonsai tree. I have had 5 or 6 Bonsai trees but I have managed to kill them all. ::shrug:: I have looked around the internet but I'd rather ask here. You guys know of any trees that can handle too much water as well as too little too late? You can use just about any tree as a Bonsai but I need something I can over water or let it go too dry for a while without any greater damage. A desert/swamp tree if you will. :mrgreen: I'm sure it's out there, I just haven't found it yet. ::hmm::
Any suggestions? ::shrug::

Thanks! ::handshake::
Tom

Cool! I think this will be a fun topic. I have some questions about plants from time to time so this gives me a place to ask em. ::tu:: ::nod::

One thing really good about house plants. If they all die, check your chimney. Carbon Monoxide kills the plants first.

Of course they are no substitute for CO detectors.

Cool thread, TPK.

My thought also!

It is kind of funny how something as ordinary as a frosty morning can transfigure common plants into things of wonder. Here is a Dandelion seed puff that I photographed last week.

Very nice photos, Mel!
BH, what a botanical.garden you have, wow!

Here are pics from my morning ramble, life on a fallen log and an old Oak whose days are.numbered. I am 6'1 and can easily fit into hollowed area of trunk.
