Very nice, indeed!
I love the old Remingtons. Of the older knives, they likely had some of the best, if not the best, steel of any. That is not counting the modern steels of which I know vey little.

If I'm not mistaken, I can see some etching on that boy scout knife.
Its always good to see someone else that likes the vintage Remingtons also.

I think I can see a little etch on the 1123 also!

I think the 1123 is middle 1920's,there is a small amount of the etch remaining,it was rusty and had alot of random scratches on the surface so when the etch came up i stopped lapping.the old Scout knife,maybe a little later in that 1920-40 run,had a bit of the tip snapped off.I reshaped it and used a chemical blackening solution on the etch,then hard lapped(brass block with 14,000 grit diamond lapping paste on the surface,it polishes and highlights the high spots).Better pics later
