All About Pocket Knives

Saw this folding hunter in ebay.. Does anyone know very much about this? Who made it and what they are worth?

Looks to be a KA-BAR made knife.

I don’t think the OP knife is from Montgomery Wards. The stamp on it says WARD (no S), not WARDS. Others I’ve seen were stamped WARDS.

I'm pretty sure it was made for Montgomery Ward, "Master Quality" was one of their cutlery markings. The company name was Montgomery Ward (dang I miss the good old days of Sears and Wards catalogs), not Montgomery Wards. Possibly earlier knives were marked Ward and later ones marked Wards as the slang term for the company came more common. Many Wards knives were made by Western and I agree this looks like a Union Cut product and Union Cut made a lot of knives for Western.

Agree with everyone. Great looking knife. Levine shows the mark as "Wards Master Quality" as opposed to "Ward"., but they were Montgomery WARD.
Their WARDS stamp doesn't use an apostrophe. A little mystery? J.O'.

Goins mentions some Ward's knives having a "Master Quality" blade etch. Of course there are mistakes in Goins' and Levine's, but Bernard refuses to accept that fact.
