All About Pocket Knives

On Nov. 6th 1874, Lt. Farnsworth and 28 men "accidentally" encountered Chief Greybeard and a little over 100 Cheyanne. There was a running battle of 8 miles that took many hours over some very rough terrain. In the end, Lt Farnsworth lost 2 men dead and 4 injured, and the death count of the Cheyanne varies but 4 is in the area. These two knives were found at the Indian camp where the battle originated. Thanks guys, That whole battle was a great adventure! I took 3 weeks of vacation just so I would not miss a day of the search. We didn't find the first artifact until the 5th day.

s-k, all the artifacts (including these 2 knives) are still in Austin TX. being documented and cleaned. The bottom one is a Green River. I am not sure exactly what the top one is, but after the professional cleaning I am sure we will be able to identify it a little better. All of the artifacts are susppose to be sent to me as I am on the board of our museum here. Of coarse, they belong to the land owner, but I will try to persuade all the land owners to donate them to our museum. We will see. I will show pic's of them cleaned when I get them back fro Austin.
