Is this Puma real?

Puma four star stainless. No etch on blade is why I am asking. Could have been polished off, but why? It does have the Rockwell hardness testing dot and the fit and finish are excellent, including a perfectly centered blade. Any opinions?

In most knife production facilities a blade can miss out on getting etched. If the rest of the knife is an exact match, pattern & dimensions, likely it is a "real" Puma.

Puma 4 Star model # 280730. The blades were ink stamped I think.I have one and the marks are almost obliterated.Does it have date code stamped on the lock bar? Here is mine.

I had a Puma that I bought once that had no etch. However the box said “made in China”. I think that is how they get around stamping the COO on the knife. So that might be a possible reason for the lack of etch also.

Superior quality in a small package. It will ride with a larger blade on a daily basis.
