All About Pocket Knives

Very new to this community as I have just been working through these pocket knives that were recently passed down to me from my grandma. They all apparently belonged to her dad and this one is one of my favorites. 3blade whittler 3 3/8”. EC Simmons tang stamp, so pre 1940. Scales and blades are in pretty good condition, no rust or chipping and the snaps are so satisfying. The shield is crooked, so I think maybe he reapplied it himself but I’m not sure. Really like the feel of this one. Anybody got anything similar they wanna show off? Thanks for looking.

If your knife is 3 1/2" closed I'd say it's a K3698 3/4. Are there any numbers stamped on the back of the main blade, visible like this photo? 1905-1938, I guess that would be Walden or Winchester made. to AAPK!

Hmm it looks 3 3/8” to me but granted I’m only using a ruler as I don’t have a dial caliper on hand. If there aren’t any made that size it could be 3 1/2”. No number on the other side, does that mean it’s Walden made?

Hope you can read this, Goins Pocket Knives Markings of Manufacturers and Dealers, Second Edition gives a better explanation of the history than I can.

In my opinion, yes, it is Walden made.
