Albers Cutlery-Good To See.

Just noticed Eric had a small release of new stock today, they did not last long. I know this can be frustrating for those wishing to purchase, but the upside is, seeing a bespoke/artisan knife maker, starting out and being successful, and it was only a small run. From what i have read, as he gets going the releases will be larger, good luck to him.

Darn, i missed it. Hope i get notification for the next batch. These will be as hot as GEC or Northwoods. Everyone will want a knife made by Eric. Some might show up on ebay for double the price.
I hope those who managed to get one will post pictures here.

40 knives gone in 7 minutes, I really opened up a can of worms! Never expected that kind of rush, looks like I have to work overtime!

Eric, we knife guys can be a demanding lot. Don't let it get to you. Slow and steady wins the race and makes for a happier cutler. Don't 'burn out' trying to keep the insatiable crowd happy. 40 knives in 7 minutes,-- hmm, maybe prices are too low ? Be sure to reward yourself adequately. Just because you are a cutler doesn't mean you have to be poor

Or...you could raise your selling prices in order to discourage the flippers. I think serious collectors will still pay for top quality customs. JMOFWIW
(I was typing as KJ was posting)
How does one get on the list to be notified of new releases?

The best way is to go to my website and sign up for the newsletter at the bottom of the page. I send out a heads up whenever a new batch goes live. It's been pretty wild but I'm definitely not complaining, more like a great relief to see them being accepted. I don't see much in the way of flippers just yet, almost all of the sales have been for single knives so far with the occasional double thrown in. Here's a link:

Thank you, sir. I'm all signed up and eagerly awaiting your next release.
Your knives are gorgeous and your prices are extremely reasonable. IMO you could fairly charge at least double what you're asking, though.
I'm hoping you'll do a run of single Wharncliffe blade knives with Stag handles.

Signed up for the newsletter, Eric; thanks! With 40 knives out in 7 minutes I would never get one anyway. I can't just sit in front of my computer 24/7. Oh well; I still have a few knives.

I feel the price is really good for the materials and workmanship that goes into these. These actually get my attention much, much more than GEC.

I've been following another thread for Eric, reading good reviews and seeing great pics from members.
I was able to get in on this run and can't wait for my Macadamia wood to arrive, I'll post a pic or 2.

I have a few of Eric new knives, and they are FINE pieces of craftsmanship, at a very reasonable price. Get one when you can, you won't be sorry!

Did any of you guys score one from tonight's drop? I looked but I didn't attempt to purchase.

I went to Eric's website as soon as his email came in but i was too late, all knives were "Sold". I don't know how many knives were available but they all got snapped up just as fast as a new Northwoods release which is great for Eric. I hope we do not see any of these being flipped on ebay.
Maybe on Eric's next run of knives i will get lucky. I use a computer not a smart phone and i think emails arrive faster on a smart phone than on a computer which checks for new messages every 15 minutes.

Excellent stuff, Eric.
Somehow I have missed your webpage before the link posted in this thread.
VERY reasonably priced knives for a hand built shop.
Would love to see more shop set up photos.
Thanks,
Tony

I happened to log onto the website when the old pictures were gone and the new ones weren’t up yet. I knew they were going to drop any minute.
When the new pics came up I clicked on the Blue Rope bone and the Add To Cart and Buy It Now tabs were still there. Pretty sure I could have snagged one but I held back. I’ll get one sooner or later.
Checked my email afterwards and I had gotten the notification while I was on the website.
