All About Pocket Knives

I am looking for information on the whereabouts of a replacement hook hone for a knife that was given to me by one of my grandfathers when I was a teenager. During normal use I managed to drop the knife on a rock and directly hit the hook hone breaking it off. I approached the Case folks, who offered to replace the knife with the newer model if I sent them my existing knife. Since it has more than a little sentimental value, I declined the offer.

I have the exact same knife with the exact same issue.

Have you tried contacting Case about a replacement? I’m pretty sure those were either glued on, or melted onto the handle covers. The worst that can happen up is they say “no”. https://caseknives.com/pages/contact-us Www.caseknives.com. They mail out replacement shields for those that have come un-glued, so maybe they send replacement stones too.

I approached Case looking for a replacement hone. Since the model is discontinued, they could not replace the hook hone. However, they were willing to take my old knife in trade for the current model. The knife I have has too much sentimental value to trade in for a new model.
