Were the Christmas tree handle knives from this era celluloid handles ?

Not a Böker expert, but many German made knives in the 80's and 90's had celluloid handles (Fightn' Rooster, Bulldog, etc.) From what I have read in certain patterns they are particularly prone to offgassing. OH
