Question about China made knives

Hi, All
I am already enjoying this site. I am a long time lover and small collector of german made knives. I have a couple of hen and roosters, a couple of fight'n roosters, a couple of Buck creeks, a couple of case xxs, one german boker small stockman, I have a large H&R Tobacco Congress with bone stag handles, I believe it is a 1994 model. I just picked up a couple of fight'n roosters that need repairing. I was looking on ebay a couple of weeks ago and I bought a H&R congress knife with bone handles. After reading the fine print I realized that it was made in CHINA. I retracted my bid and emailed the seller and explained to him that if I felt that he was trying to hide that small fact. How long have these been made in CHINA? Are there any more true german made knives out there?
I have been looking at some new models, but am afraid to buy them. I also have an interest in older case xx knives with red bone handles.
Thanks for the opportunity to share.

welcome kieth, i don't know the answer of who anymore. it seems all the major german companys have chinese or other country manufacture as well. it's not just the u.s. with higher standards of living(or profit). i guess, make sure of the country of origin first

Keith, Fight'n Rooster, Bulldog, and German Eye are all still made in Germany in the same factory.
