All About Pocket Knives

In case anyone's interested, I found this short 11 minute video on You Tube. According to the video, a friends fixed blade knife had been laid up in Customs for quite some time, and by the time he got it back, it was badly pitted.

The video shows the steps this guy took to get the blade looking normal again. I had never heard of Silicon Carbide stones until I saw this. Wow! Lots of Effort and a beautiful job. No magic though all he did was reduce the entire blade thickness. I would have kept the pits as character

Mate, thanks for posting this, very informative and so interesting.

Loved his idea of using the wood block in the vise and then the clamps. I will be using that method in the future, thanks again.
