All About Pocket Knives

Some knives just stand out in a crowd, and this one for me, does just that. I am not sure if it was ever a production knife, as this one is plain, or just for the "Ole Buck" special order.
It has a great feel, and is just the right size for skinning, and since is a little more heavy duty than the popular 152OT, and at 3/16 thick, and almost 8 1/2 inches long, it would do more of a variety of tasks.
Maybe it was just a late player in the game, and didn't have a chance to score. Either way, it should have been a winner.

What are the handles made of?

Handles are rosewood, which gives it a really nice look. And has a great feel. Everyone should have one of these,,,,,

I like the look of this one, I usually prefer a drop point skinner over an upswept skinner. What I like about this is in front of the handle, a small rise for your thumb above the ricasso and the guard, nicely figured for your fore finger. I like them even better when there is fillework for a sure grip in these 2 places.

Nice knife, well designed skinner. It looks like it would have a lot of dexterity because of the 2 features I just mentioned. A skinner must have a lot of dexterity to be a good skinner.
