All About Pocket Knives

I'm getting ready to put a purchase on a USA-made Cuda knife (well, a Moore Maker equivalent of it), and am curious how it is with gloves, and uh, how it works. I'm getting more and more into the less-traditional products by Camillus and Schrade, and this one looks like it would be a good one to use with heavy gloves--and that's something that outright sucks to try with many other knives. Some I can easily get open with gloves, but can't release the lock with gloves. Yeah, a fixed blade is better, but I prefer folders as knives I keep in my coat and as off-farm EDC. The Buck 110 excels with gloves on or off, but is just too danged heavy. And, I've been wanting to try this odd opening mechanism for years.

My second question is about clips (knife is missing clip and screws)--it has the standard triangle-shape three-screw setup. So, can I use a clip intended for a Benchmade? And what screws should I look for?


Here's a photo I borrowed off the Camillusknives.ru website. Seems that the MM knife is basically a Junior Quick Action; except with yellow G-10 and 1095 instead of black G-10 and ATS-34. For once, I'm gonna say I'm not a fan of 1095. ATS-34 is leaps and bounds ahead of 1095--but at least I can sharpen this knife with a simple whetrock, instead of the diamond set.

I think that you will not have any problems with gloves. Opening this knife simply requires pushing the washer forward until the blade locks in, and it is very easy.
