russlock, gaps between the liner and liner lock

do gaps betwwen the liner and liner lock, hurt or damage the knife, it is a very thin gap, but noticeable. can it be fixed or is it nothing to worry about. it is a new russlock, that has never been used, thanks for your time, chris, got to mention it is on the back side of the knife, not the blade side, when knife is closed
