I have had personal problems with this seller for a number of years. I have saved a nasty email from him when he was put on the spot by me. I would be glad to share it with those interested. I do not know what to do about this person. I don't mind him selling the knives. I just wished he would represent them correctly. He has fooled HUNDREDS and has many more I am sure. ::td:: ::td:: ::td:: ::td::

Count me as one of the ones who was fooled, back in the day. I've purchased two knives from this seller which I've since determined to be either fake or drastically altered.

I'm not saying that he doesn't sell some genuine knives, I've seen some that I THINK are genuine. It's just that it's not worth the effort to try to tell the real ones from the reworks.

My solution, I no longer bid on his auctions.

I concur with all of the comments. Most of his Queen City knives have been reworked and have master blades replaced in old knive frames, some times not even in Queen Frames. I have returned three to him. I don't bid on his auctions anymore. Many of my knife friends are aware of his practices and avoid his auctions also.

What ya all think about this one of his Looks different than the 1902 Sears knives i.e. shield and tang stamp but the old age makes it diffucult to place.???

1902 sears knives? not the same sears. henry sears & co. 1865-1878.
henry sears & son 1865, 1878-1959.

sears and roebuck used wilbert and several other makers.

That Catt lockback looks like it's been modified with a cutting torch.

It has a tendency to "jump back from the half stop"? Blade's probably afraid that cutting torch is going to be taken to it again.
