KAY BROS Anybody recognize the brand?

This is a 3-1/8", Cocobolo handled, 2 blade boy's knife. Both blades stamped: KAY BROS. Iron liners. Looks German to me but must be pre-tariff, having
no country of origin stamp. Could it be a shortening of KRUSIUS BROTHERS ? Thanks , J.O'.
