WIN A CUSTOM SHOP BUCK 503 (Clues periodically added to original post)
Posted: Sun Sep 27, 2020 2:46 pm
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here on AAPK and I feel compelled to give something back to the members.
With that in mind, I’m giving away to one lucky winner this Buck 503 that I ordered from the Buck Custom Shop. Here are a few details about the knife:
Approximately 3 3/8 inches closed.
Blade steel is Buck’s standard 420HC.
Handle slabs are Sunset Jigged Bone and I chose to have “rivets”on the handle slabs.
Brand new. Never used, carried, or sharpened.
Comes with Buck’s Limited Edition box and paperwork.
I want to have a little fun with this so I’m gonna make you folks work a little. Please read and follow the rules carefully.
RULES:
1. Open to any member with at least 30 posts on AAPK. I don’t want people joining just to try to get a free knife. Any entrants with less than 30 posts will be disqualified.
2. To enter you have to guess the mileage on my car as of today. September 27th, 2020. I’ve already taken a picture of my odometer reading and I’ll post the picture when we have a winner. Dale (orvet) also has a copy of the picture.
3. No limit to the number of posts to enter but please keep each post to only one guess.
4. If you post a guess please wait at least 4 hours to post again.
5. If your mailing address is outside of the U.S.A. please feel free to enter but be advised that I might need some guidance from you on shipping details if you win. Shipping costs are on me.
6. If and when I feel it necessary, I’ll post a hint here and there. If nobody guesses my exact mileage by Sunday, October 4th the post that comes closest without going over wins.
CLUE #1: If you add up all the numbers the sum is an even number.
CLUE #2: The odometer reading has a number that appears twice and they are side by side. Example only: AB,CCD. The C appears twice and they are side by side.
CLUE #3: The odometer reading does not contain the number 1.
Here are a few details about my car:
It’s a 2017 Honda Civic.
I bought it used on 6/6/20.
The car was a leased vehicle prior to my purchase.
I live 4.3 miles from my workplace and I work Monday through Friday. No weekends.
The longest trip I’ve taken in the car since I bought it was about 70 miles round trip.
I bought the car with a fresh oil change. My current Oil Change reminder is at 70% oil life remaining.
My odometer does not display a decimal point. My trip meters handle that.
Throw some numbers at me! Let’s have some fun with this.
Sometime on Sunday, October 4th I’ll announce that the giveaway will close in 4 ½ hours.
Thank you AAPK and Bryan for giving me a place to discuss my passion for the last 13 years. It’s been one hell of a ride and I look forward to another 13 years and beyond.
Good luck to all!!
