Help with Case knife

I recently obtained the below knife. Can someone give me some information (most interested in time period).

I can't make anything out of your picture of the tang stamp. It is out of focus and there is too much dirt and corrosion.

Use a Number 2 lead pencil (graphite/lead end), rub the lead on the tang area. That will loosen the rust without harming whatever marking remains. Wipe off the residue with a soft cloth. Then see if you can make out any stamping letters.

Just judging from the shield and jigging my guess would be mid/late 1960s through 1970s. It’s in pretty poor condition.

Looks like the knife is missing the master blade so that makes it a bit harder to pinpoint a date.

It looks like a 6318 Stockman that was taken apart then reassembled without one spring and the master blade. That's an interesting idea for those who do not use the long blade. It would make a more pocket friendly slim knife.
