Circa WWII or slightly after.
Bone availability was depressed during WWII and several companies went to black composition. Robeson and Case are two of which come to mind.
I suspect this knife predates 1948, as that is when Robeson started using their Strawberry Bone.
The pattern number of 622151 calls for bone handles.

The shield is that of a logo that Robeson used, principally, in the 1950, but it could have certainly been in use prior to that.
I have seen the logo on catalogs and on display cases, labels, kitchen items, etc.
I do not think I have ever seen that shield on a bone handled knife. Someone can correct me on that if they are able.
I have seen it on these pressure molded black composition knives and also on some knives with Robeson's ShurWood handles.
