Why is this such a desirable pattern? I've noticed in good shape, my '76 6488, even with being a Delrin knife, is an expensive knife, at least by my standards.

The 88 patten has always been the rarest and most desired for Case Collectors. Very few were made because of cost. You could buy a Jack Knife for couple bucks but a 4 Blade Congress would set you back half a week wage.

Looks like a nice knife, wouldn’t call it “near mint” though. Small blades show some wear. Those knives are Rare.
