Buck partners with Taylor guitars ...

Post by Lansky1 »

... apparently Taylor guitars is one of the few sources for real ebony wood today. These Bucks use real ebony wood - thought it was interesting story...

This is the most interesting 12 minutes I've seen in a long time on youtube ... if you have any interest in how ebony wood has been historically overharvested & depleted globally and the only remaining commercially legal source in the world is now being ethically managed by a single man, watch this (the conversation is framed around a guitarmaker, but the sourcing still applies for the ebony used in our knives)

I first read about the Buck/Taylor partnership on a guitar forum. I think it's a great thing Taylor has undertaken. I love ebony handles on knives and I'm pleased that someone is taking the needed steps to keep a renewable supply coming.
