can anyone date this case knife?

ROG6347 D damascus. anyone remember when they did this one?ignore the title on this pic.

i cant see the tang clearly in the pic but by the shield it was made in the 80s......mid to late 80s i believe.

i thought it was '89, but i see no dots, must be hidden under bolster. thx for the info.

glad i could help. i checked the latest edition of parkers price guide and it lists one for 1989 and the book lists the price at 145.00

Never knew they made a long tail c in the 80's. Shows what I know CC!

I would have bet money it was post 90.

if i remember right they did the same knife with a regular case shield of that time, i believe one of the 2 came in a set of some kind.

i know some 1987s had the same shield
the dots should be under the Case and above the USA maybe hard to see on the damascus

Did Bear & Son make the damascus blades for all of the Case XX dumascus bladed knives or who made them?

Parker introduced the Case Damascus pocket knves when he owned Case. They were only made for two years then, 1989 and 1990. 12 patterns made in stag and the same 12 in Rogers bone. There were a number of additional sheath knife patterns made too. At that time Bear Cutlery was actually Parker's own plant (Parker USA) so he no doubt supplied the damascus from what was essentially the "sister" factory.
Of course, Case has issued a variety of damascus knives since that time.
