Stamps

We took a road trip and stopped at a country antiques and garage sale. The man said that he had surgery and had to give up many of his measuring tools and such. I asked him if this set of 44 stamps and swivel came from Tandy Leather and he said yes although not marked as such, maybe their brand is not marked Tandy, and he made the stand. He said $20 so I will check them against my set that I had for years and see what is different.

$20 for all those is a great deal! Craftool is usually marked on handle and has a letter and number prefix. Tandy owns the craftool brand. The stamps I have none have Tandy marked on it just craftool in some form.

Here are a couple links that talk about ages and what markings they have.. I'm not affiliated with these sites just posting them for the info.

Thanks, Craft Tool and numbers on each. As well as the boxed set I've had for years and like bought at a garage sale. About all I have done is make snap straps and stitch fixed blade sheaths. My mother in law made horse riding chaps for some of the grandsons.

If it is just numbers with no letter prefix and says craftool company they date from 1962 or earlier.

I'll give ya $25 for them ::ds::

compared them to my boxed set #7 and only five of the same numbers. Set 7 has two swivel cutters so all three have different width blades.
