All About Pocket Knives

This month Willy (WillyCamaro) has donated two Imperial knives: an Easy-Opener and a Camp/Scout/Utility. Here's what you are playing for:

Knife #1 is an Imperial Easy-Opener with the PROV. R.I USA tang stamping, brown jigged bone covers and iron bolsters. It was cleaned sometime in the past but both blades are extremely snappy, with awesome walk n' talk, and no side-to-side play at all. The bone has a warm worn look to it and is all-around, an awesome survivor.

Knife #2 is an Imperial Scout/Camp/Utility with the slightly different from knife #1 PROV. R.I tang stamping. This knife has been recovered with wormy/grainy wood covers has nickel silver bolsters and bail, sports a unique shield and has brass liners and pins. A very lovely ole gal, that has been given a second life without snap but has awesome blade movement without side-to-side play!

To spice things up a bit, along with the 2 Imperials described above, you are also playing for a third knife, a mystery knife to be revealed by the winner at the appropriate time but here’s a little hint ….. it's an older medium stockman with a special handle material and the pattern number starts with the numeral six.

Instructions for entering the giveaway...

Simply click here and select a number between 0 and 999.

Please note you will now have up to 6:00 PM Eastern Time to pick a number on the day of the drawing not a day before like previous drawings!

You will have until August 31st (6:00 P.M. Eastern) to pick a number. After this time, an official "Final List" of the entrants will be posted in this thread. The winner will be determined by the Illinois State Lottery evening pick three drawing on August 31st. The individual closest to the selected number without going over will win. The Illinois lottery results can be found on the following website:

You must be 18 years of age or older to play. The winner will be sent an AAPK PM after the drawing and will have 10 days to respond with your contact information and shipping address. If the winner does not respond within the allotted time, the knife will be given to the next closest winner on the list without going over.

We have a winner - mumblypeg (Richard's) pick of 598 was 22 away from the winning lottery number of 620. This month 95 AAPK'ers were all gunning for the great knives that Willy has donated along with another knife yet to be revealed. Stay tuned on that one! We had 2 players that entered after the deadline and were hence ineligible to be considered for the giveaway (even though they weren't in the running).
