All About Pocket Knives

Hi Gang.

I was wondering if anybody can tell me about this Remington 4 inch stockman with a punch blade. I don't know much about the brand but I know there were many copies, authorized and unauthorized.

This one has the full blade etch visible. The tang stamp has Remington in a circle with 2 lines under it, one under the "emin" and the other under "to". I tried to get a pic of it but couldn't get close enough. Outside the circle is Made in U.S.A.

It has been used but there is snap in all blades including the punch. The punch blade appears full.

No cracks in the bone scales. If I am looking at my book right it appears to be a R3553 except the pull on this one is shorter and is a matchstrike pull.



Any opinions?

r3563 is what it looks like to me. don't know if it's a repro. is it 4" closed?

I found a 3563 in sargents 6th close to this knife. My Remington book by Stewart and Ritchie shows both the 3563 and the 3553 with square bolsters. My C-5 catalog shows the same as my Remington book. The Knife is probably correct like the muskrat with both round and square bolsters.

Yes, it is a full 4 inches closed. The secondary is marked Witn Remington Made in U.S.A. but the punch is not marked.

It looks right to me. Not a reproduction. Nice looking knife as a matter of fact.

Knife definitely looks genuine.

It looks like the real deal but I would have to have it in my hands to confirm, so I'll just send you my address.
