I have a couple of those that need new clothes too.
First thing I did when I got them was pop off the old covers!

I think part of the trick, on these, is finding one in decent condition. Looking through past posts, I know Dale stated he had a bucket of parts and it took several knives to make a good one. I won't even say that mine is a good one. There pretty much is no closing snap, on the master blade. The others have light snap...but it cuts and I do like the looks of the Streamline master blade. There are a couple of decent looking ones, on Ebay right now.

Nice job Doc.

On average it takes me three Stream Lines to make one good knife, using a few good pieces for each knife.
The most difficult thing to find are good blades that place also has a very nice size pin blade on it, large enough to be useful. So the pin blade is often heavily used also.
