Recon what I have here?

I just fished this Craftsman out of the bay.
I am a little confused about what it actually is and who made it....
Is this a 4 blade cattleman?
Looks like a clip, a pen, a sheepfoot and a punch blade.
Sorta looks like an Ulster but I can't find it in any catalogs..... by any maker....
Here it is....

Yes I agree - Ulster. They made patterns for Sears that were not in their regular Ulster line. That looks like one that has a plastic shield under clear plastic...some were made that way.

Probably Ulster....
The pattern is a conundrum.... I can't find anything like it anywhere.
.
Like you said, this might not be in their regular line.... I know I sure can't find it.

The Craftsman number for the knife is 9469.Made around 1948
I have two.
One of the knives has a serrated sheep foot blade .Made in the1950's

Do you mean something like this? I've had this one for many years and it has no tang stamp at all. The serrations on the sheepfoot blade are not machined properly so I'm wondering if maybe this was a reject. Here are a couple pics of it.

I had one of those for awhile. Yes the serrations were made that way.

.....the serrations at the tip look deeper than the ones at the rear of the blade????.............

Good question. The teeth look like a cross between saw teeth and a scalloped edge. Too fine for wood. Do sheep get tangles of hair (wool) that need to be cut off ? A Dog Groomer blade looks similar but no 'flat spot'.
I bet it would slice through the peel of citrus fruit. Some SAK like multiblades have a blade for peeling oranges in sections.
I hope someone knows and will post the correct answer.

Just purely speculation here, but maybe the thinking is similar to the reason some Japanese pull saws have two different styles of teeth. One is to get the cut started on dense wood, the other to give a finer cut once your into the wood. Like I said, just speculation on my part.

I have a knife that looks just like that one, except mine has a spey blade instead of the sheepsfoot.
It has no shield, and no markings on it anywhere, so I have been wondering for the last 15 years or so who made it.
Mine has good snap on all blades and all of the blades are quite full. The brown plastic material used for the scales has shrunk somewhat, but other than that they are in perfect condition.
I think this knife was carried a fair bit, but not really sharpened or used much. I sharpened it up and have used it a bit.
I would love to find a company making new ones just like it. I would buy several. Its just a well put together cattle pattern.
