Here is a couple of beauties that my wife gave me. This Bulldog is now one of my favorites in my collection. It was made in 1986.

Looks Great! Those first generation Bulldog Barlows I believe are some of the best knives made knives I've ever had. As soon as you feel them in your hand, you can feel quality.

I know what you mean Hukk. That Barlow does have a great feel to it. I will have to have some more of those. Do you have them all Hukk?

Those 1st generation barlows are some of the best quality bulldog ever made. The Greenbones are also nice. The ones with the "OUR BEST"blades also have a real attractive crest shield.

No, but I sure wish I did. I do have a Barlow of my own design loosely based on the first generation Bulldog Barlow, it will be slightly longer and I'm toying with 3 different handles, Mammoth Ivory, tooth, or a California jade with elephant ivory. Depends on the colors I get as far as what I end up with.
I would really like to make it with some Robert Eggerling Mosaic Damascus blades and/or bolsters. I just need the time to do it, between projects, I guess. I have some real nice Eggerling Mosaic Damascus on hand, some from Donnelly, Chad Nichols, Chris Marks, and Devin Thomas as well. I got quite a few from metsalaknives on eBay and Tony is a real nice guy to work with.
Tom is right, the Green bones are just as as nice as stag - ALMOST, just a well made knife. These are amoungst the highest quality knives I've handled.

Very nice James those are fantastic looking knives, the Bulldog barlow being my favorite as well. I had one just like the one pictured but I recently sold it in pursuit of the Tony Bose/Case knives. Now I'm feeling heartsick that I don't have it anymore...Thanks for sharing.

That is a sweet little Barlow! Great blade shape.
I picked one up just like it a few months ago, and I really like it.
