Green Bone Trapper 6254

Hi this is a great site wanted to say hello and also ask a question I bought a green bone 6254 Case XX USA Knife but I hadn't been able to find a price or year for it. I know it's older because it's thicker than some of my newer trappers. I have always kind of collected knives but I've been really looking into them more now since I picked this one up. Im hoping I didnt pay to much for it. Even if I did it's a great knife. Thanks Don

there also seems to be two dotS under the usa
CASE XX

If there's 2 dots and the S's are rounded it would be a '78 , if the S's are lightning bolt shaped, it would be '88

Thanks Chris, theres no SS's and where did you find the thing about the two dots I was looking for that when I saw your reply. Thanks alot I did find out I had a 78 Trapper thanks to you, it has rounded SS's.
