I posted this as part of a group but I think I'll split them up for a little closer examination... CASE XX pre 1949 - no pattern stamp - greenbone... This was one of my Dad's favorite patterns, he actually carried one... More to follow.... Thanks, Ken

Well Happy Mother's Day ... Another 6250 - almost a clone... with a twist... The tang stamp on this knife is a heavy block CASE... no XX - just CASE... The shield is an oval with an open C and a tall S - late tested and early XX so from the same time period.... Is this a common "error" ? Thanks in advance, Ken

This is actually an xx era(40-64). The xx’s are hidden by the bolster. If you look closely you should be able to see the tops of the x’s

Jdub…. You are, of course, correct! … I must say that I had to use a 30x lighted loupe to see a tip of the X under the S... Thanks, Ken
