All About Pocket Knives

Boredom drove me to clean up my knife drawer, been years since I dug to the bottom. Ran across this rolled up in an old sock, had it for years and forgot I had it. (deemed it to fancy for me to carry) A present from old flying buddy of my Dad. My question is did the factory do this engraving, I think not.

I have no idea, but whoever did do the engraving, did a beautiful job. A truly gorgeous knife. Is it the same on the other side?

Beautiful knife. Wish Gerber still made these.

Gerber sold many Folding Sportsman series knives with engraving. They offered a three knife set (FS1, FS 2, and FS 3) with either wood or stag handles and engraving, and they offered special knives with agate or jade handles and engraving. That being said, I have never seen a Gerber offering with the style and coverage on your knife. It sure is pretty, though.

Knife is engraved the same on both sides, always thought it was well done. May keep this one out of the dark for a while.
