Did I miss where the Hen & Roosters were?

I didn't see a specific section for Hen & Rooster. Any fans? Here are a couple I've picked up.

There are many brands that do not have a dedicated subforum. Hen & Rooster included. A search for Bertram found 16 pages of posts though. Here’s one.

I'm a fan of the Hen & Rooster knives made in Solingen. Many were and are still manufactured by Klaas, who own the rights in Germany. Jim Frost owns the trademark rights for distribution in the U.S. All of his knives are made in Spain and are the one's I saw being sold at SMKW. My opinion is that the ones made in Spain do not even come close in fit/finish to the ones from Germany. I tried two of them and was so underwhelmed they were sent back.
This is one of mine made in Solingen. A millennium (year 2000) six blade congress with half stops.

I agree. I stick mainly to those made in Germany. That is a sharp Congress you have. A hefty boy for sure.

The authentic Hen & Rooster knives have not been made since 1980. Since then it is just a name put on a regular factory made knife. The real ones were hand built by cutlers, some working from their own home and bringing their work to the Bertram shop for the next cutler to do his part towards a finished knife.
The original C. Bertram Hen & Roosters are now selling well below what they did 10 years ago. On ebay some sell for under $100, a real bargain for a hand built knife. All Hen & Rooster collectors should have some examples of the genuine article.

Yes PapaBones...I, too, am a fan of H&R. I have bought a few stag and a couple M O P over the last few months... really slowed down buying due to being locked down. I will try to post pictures of the few I have below:

yes it is a converted jewelry case. It has a glass lid ( non locking). The two drawers have a modification I did to keep them from opening or falling out when I move the case. Simply drilled a hole inside the top row all the way through into the bottom drawer to lock the drawers in place with a metal rod that I "did a deep bluing" so it is not so noticeable.

I noticed you have the dark green H&R box with your stag handled trapper. (Nice knife by the way.) I have a few H & R knives with that color box, but I have wondered if the 'lighter' -v- 'dark' color green box could help identify what period these knives were manufactured? If anyone knows I would like your thoughts and if you would be willing to share your sources.

not sure - I do know that I was told the stag trapper was manufactured maybe ? 10 years ago and the new H&R boxes are lighter green but not great confidence
