All About Pocket Knives

I finally got the Remington rehandle done that I pictured in another thread. This one was outgassing, and the blades had gotten rusty again after initially having it all cleaned up and oiled good. Replaced the Pyremite with ebony. It is in my pocket right now.

I'm glad you fixed it before the damage got too bad.
That cellulite is some bad stuff. If I get in a knife that has cell, I immediately take that mess OFF before it can do any more damage.

That ol Remington knife looks MUCH nicer now OC. Ebony scales was a good selection on another fantastic save.

I agree with Ed...that ebony was an excellent choice! Looks great!!!

Beautiful work! That ebony looks better than new! I think one of the worst aspects of celluloid is that it can go at any time without warning and destroy other knives around it in the same collection.

If yours have out gassing celluloid, then you better get busy. lol

Thanks U RRight about that just pulled them out and heading into my shop ,didn't realize how bad that cell gassing is,, ? Does the R17 Rem pull ball have the bad handles,not educated enough yet to really know and don't want to ruin it,again U do nice work may have some work for U or another Aapk guy if interested

Blades cleaned up nice, the new handles look great, it even has a shield! That turned out beautiful OC! I can see why it's in your pocket! It would look nicer in my pocket but you can hold it.

And Thanks to you, and of course all the others who restore old knives, a lot of great knives are saved & brought back to life. It's a true sevice to the knifers community. Thanks to all of you!

OC, I always enjoy your renovations. Not recognized as the same knife. You have happy pockets.
