All About Pocket Knives

Here is a nice little congress-pattern knife that I found cheap - with one broken blade. In-hand it looks just like a Queen, especially that dark Winterbottom bone, but there is no tang stamp on any of the blades. I replaced the blade with a new Schrade blade - making it a Frankenknife. No big deal, since it has had some abuse anyway and is simply a user. I didn't even polish it, I just dropped it right in my pocket.

Nice transformation! Hard to believe it's the same knife.

That's a fine salvage job! I would say it's definitely a Queen and since there was no tang stamp it probably is from the 1960s.

Hey, so what if it doesn't say "Queen".... it says "reverand" and that says a lot!
It's a beauty! I have a new respect for those congress knives since I did a little research and learned the origin and use for the originals.
